Community Organization of the Year

The mission of Breakthrough Cincinnati is to prepare underrepresented students for success in college while inspiring the next generation of educators. Serving over 250 students annually, our programs advances education, equity, and economic mobility in Cincinnati.

Since 1992, BTC has offered academic enrichment and college and career readiness to middle and high school students, aiming to close the opportunity gap and cultivate diverse talent in Cincinnati. BTC students are taught by college-aged Teaching Fellows, who are gaining practical skills to become future educators and leaders. This unique “students teaching students” approach fosters a relational learning environment where students grow academically and personally.
